You’d be surprised. P1 broadband (the wireless internet thingy that’s around sunway and subang) loads REALLY REALLY quick. I don’t even need to wait a sec to load YouTube videos. It just automatically plays! So why are we slaving to beg streamyx to come over and fix a landline when the ‘air’line actually loads quicker?
(or is it because i’m not sharing airwaves with anyone at all in this ungodly hour?)
Think about it. I paid rm20 for this P1 thing and it lasts for 40 days. Streamyx 1mb costs between 80-100 a month. Since the siblings are both down under and the baby still doesn’t surf the net yet (thank God), only my dad and i, though the former uses wayyyyy less frequently, will need connection. I’m still trying to wrap my mind around why we’re not paying for the cheaper, faster, less-hassle alternative to the stupid cow of a landline.

I’m super happy with this site right now. I’m sure it’s because it’s a new thing *clings to pretty new things again* and because for once it doesn’t take forever to load. It used to be snails when i went on wordpress on the old com.
Speaking of coms. The parents/brother decided we need a new one to complement the new house. The old one’s at least 5? 7? years old anyway. Yay for unexpected upgrade! And guess who’s the only one at home old AND young enough to reap the benefits of this new bargain? Bro’s room is a temp study place, sister’s room is a temp book storage *evil little sister cackle*
… my room is a huge bug-fascinator though. I’ve been bitten more times in 2 days than i’ve ever been bitten in the old house. Tit for tat, something for something. I guess it’ll always work that way. =)
