i want my baby

I don’t know if you knew, but I used to have this irrational fear… fear is not how you describe it. I was not afraid of dogs, but more afraid of the notion of them clawing, or biting, or licking – the little antics that dogs do - so i tend to avoid them unless i absolutely have to socialise with our canine best friends.

However.

Here comes along joel who happens to be dogs’ best friend as well. I get a call monday night with an insistent man over the line. We look for PAWS and SPCA the day after.

As I would really rather not elaborate (it’s almost 12 and i have 20 more pages to finishing the Catcher in the Rye – still trying to figure this book out. I rather suspect the whole gist of the book is contained in the cool English professor’s lecture to Holden when he’s drunk. anyone read it? discuss?) on the whole process and ordeal we went through. although to be honest, fuck is a very nice summation…

anyway.

I don’t have her picture yet, and wp can be a total ass in photos sometimes so i always dawdle when it comes to posting pictures, but we now have Eva (pronounced eh-va instead of ee-va) in our lives. Eva has beautiful clear green eyes, is quiet, calm, and manjas you to hell. she will grow up to be fluffy, short-ish, fat, and slightly long. My kind of dog. She came home a lot of shy and docile, but when i left the house she was starting to jump and bite, so i predict in a few days i will exhibit scars and have a penchant for furless blouses but will not procure any. Not that i’ll mind one bit.

And in case my blog post hasn’t already made it oh-so-obvious, i am absolutely in love with Eva. I feel like she’s my newborn baby and i can’t wait to hold her tomorrow (will revise my opinion when the peeing and shitting ordeal begins)
