daddy and kor kor has bought new com. I is love huge wide screen!
it’s like looking at a tv screen man! it’s so huge the monitor has nothing to do at the right side for the moment, so it’s like one big white blank (at least for wordpress it is). i don’t have speakers yet but wait till it goes on! video-watching will be sooooo bea-u-ti-ful
though, that’s not really the reason why i’m caressing the keyboards now. I’m thinking (yes, again and again and again) of buying a laptop, and now the plan seems to be: buy desktop when i go to US, buy light laptop for its portability. When i tell this to people around me words like Vaio keep popping up and no i do not want a vaio. The review sites have a variety of suggestions – and none of them coincide, so that worries me. I am not considering the MacBook Air because it’s just ridiculous lah. No dvd player? So far the consensus is the Lenovo ThinkPad X300, but those reviews came from the beginning of ‘08. *gasp* we’re already in the second half, so doesn’t that make it obsolete?
the last part was said in extremely girl-flipping-hand mode.
From the reviews (of course, that’s the point right?), the Lenovo sounds divine, though the tiny disc space will be a problem. But I was looking at the pictures and it just… turns me off. It looks like a machine from yore trying to break into the ‘now’, but falls horribly short. And really, why DO i need a laptop? other than the whole ‘oh, starbucks’s that will probably happen quite frequently in the next few years, or just generally being able to just bring a portable lappie with me (if nothing, just to have a medium to write on!). i would love to have something i can easily move around so that i can go to my best friend on the world wide web dictionary.com (HAHA!!) everytime i go through books like Jane Eyre. But then again, i’m eye-ing the iPhone 3G, so that wouldn’t be a problem either eh?
I am an iPhone convert after seeing my brother toting one and proudly showing it off. It’s so so so darn pretty! But it’s still a phone optimum for web-surfing, and i’m not very addicted to anything on the web much (can survive without internet! not addicted to facebook! needs it for information only! and for blogging purposes hee), nor do my mails need checking every hour. SO. I will admit unabashedly that it is the PRETTINESS that has hooked me and hooked me so entirely. Sigh
Do i really need a laptop and an iPhone? Or would a normal phone suffice?
I refuse to have the answers to those questions. Denial, ignorance can be pure bliss. I shall want an iPhone AND a laptop! *shuts ears to conscience*
